I will be going off the proverbial grid for a little while. Baby is set to be here on Monday (scheduled C-section) so I am not sure how much I will be updating this blog for a bit. Anyone who wants to follow can check my other blog for baby updates.

My 13.5 yo daughter was just diagnosed with RES last summer, 2011. I'm still researching.
ReplyDeleteShe is currently in 8th grade and on the honor roll :) Cognitively, she is doing great! Our significant problem is immaturity and social skills.
She was born with hydrocephalous; we went through all the therapy plus visual surgery.It just turns out the source was a different problem.
She's already talking about college and a future career. She's just maturing slower than the rest.
Don't give-up! Help and encourage in all!
I know Kristen is "off the map" yet I just "spoke" with her via text yesterday (Sunday may 6th) in regards to helping jointly keep this site up with how busy she will be with a new baby. I have a 5 year old boy, almost 6 who has been diagnosed since 1 yet we knew we had issues as early as 5 months pregnant.
